BOOK & HAMPTONS GET AWAY

I know it's been a while since my last blog- but a friend of mine brought me to their house in the Hamptons for a nice little get away for Memorial Day Weekend! The BEST part about this trip, was that it reminded me of home. This quaint little town, with a neighbory feel and gorgeous scenery!! I LOVED IT and IT really made me miss Bolton/Lake George.

IT WAS WONDERFUL!! An accumulation of stress was definitely released, and the weekend was packed full of interesting, new, and fun things/people.

It was MY first time out to the Hamptons but it seems most people from the city taken frequent weekend trips in the summer.
I also brought my best friend Melissa- and another girl from my agency: Johanna- happened to be staying at the same house. We stayed in Sag Harbor, which is part of the South Harbor. I arrived on Friday night, after a 5 1/2 hour car ride due to traffic. But I met some very nice people, all friends of friends and we made it there in one piece and it was a free ride, so all in all- I can't complain! :-)

On Saturday We hung out by the pool, played some basketball and tennis, then went to some house gatherings. Jason Binn's house, who owns and runs the magazines oceandrive, the hamptons, and several others... the coctails were nice & I met the editor of the NY Post, who writes all of page 6. Then Mike Bricco's house, where there were tons of horses, and we just missed the polo match when we arrived, but made it in time for the bon fire and barbeque!!
Then we went to dinner and out dancing for the evening, coming home to jump in the hot tub and relax for a litte before I got 10 hours of much needed sleep!!

The next day I layed by the pool for a little, before showering and getting ready for a shoot I did on the BEACH!!
It was absolutely GORGEOUS!! The photographer, makeup artist and hair stylist all came out from the city to shoot me. There were long beautiful dresses from Diane Von Furstenburg, Missoni, and Bagdley Mishka. The sun was setting over the ocean, ohhhh I know you can only imagine, but I can't wait to get these pictures back!!

On Monday I woke up bright and early, even after a long night of dancing and fun!! But at 7 am I was up, grapefruit in hand, green tea brewing, and eager to start my day!! I started off by doing some yoga and reading some of the Alchemist. Then, I borrowed the house bike and took a one mile bike ride into Sag Harbor. It was beautiful- sail boats docked and swaying, people gathering, bands playing, little girl scouts marching, vets and their wives all decked out in their uniforms driving really old cars and wearing the most beautiful and telling smiles!! Oh this parade/celebration was really something to see! Before riding the bike back I walked it along the sidewalk and checked out the stores along the waterfront. I found this little book store and ended up reading the Maria Shriver book- Just Who Will You Be, which has been featured as a must read by Barnes and Noble, Oprah, and has gained many other reputable recommendations: including MINE!! It is a great book and a quick read- It offers a lot of little advice that all ties together and adds up quite nicely. I actually went to Borders and read it again yesterday. hahaha, I guess I am a nerd... but that has got to say something about how good it was!!
I'll let you be the judge of that ;-)

Been running around getting pictures back from photographers, going on castings, grocery shopping, yoga, working out, soooo much to do, so many people to see, things to do, learn, and put into effect, it almost seems like it'll never get done... but then I realize-- nothings SET IN STONE. Life is all about living, there will always be more opportunities, and as long as your happy, you have family and friends that you love and love you back, what more could you ask for?!

LIFE IS WONDERFUL- full of majestic little surprises- you never know what will happen next, but if you EMBRACE LIFE WITH OPEN ARMS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY AND OPEN AND OPTIMISTIC MIND... THEN ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!! ;-D

Here are some pictures from my trip, can't wait to get the professional ones back!! Hope you enjoy these though!
